Quilts of Valor/National Sew Day Workshop

This workshop is IN PERSON. Did you catch the One Block, Two Block, Red Block, Blue Block bit at the Gems Christmas Party? We are excited to make these fun and sassy blocks for Kelly Harvey and the QOV. The block patterns will be posted on the Gems webpage under the Members Only tab in January if you’d like to get a head start on these red, white and blue blocks. A gondola lunch will be provided. RSVP to Amy or Joyce by Feb 2. WHAT TO BRING TO GEMS WORKSHOPS: SEWING NOTIONS- scissors, seam ripper, rotary cutter, ruler. (Gems has cutting mats, irons and pressing mats.) SEWING MACHINE- If this is difficult for you, just let us know and we can carry your machine in from your car. Easy peasy. Don’t forget your cords and pedal- just sayin’. COMFORTS: A task light, chair or seat cushion, water bottle or coffee/tea mug, treats to share are always welcome. Stitching and cutting are hard work! ATTITUDE; Bring a friendly one! we are here to have fun, learn new things and to get to know our fellow Gems!
