You can leave at any time, but the door will lock behind you.

June 29-30th– Decatur Quilters Guild 37th Quilt Show

The 37th Quilt Show sponsored by Decatur Quilters Guild to be held at the Decatur Civic Center on June 29-30, 2018 from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The featured speaker both days is Suzi Perron, author of “Barn Quilts and the American Quilt Trail Movement

Treasure Thy Friends.  The Tea Ladies will share a lovely program about the special meaning of friendship through words and tokens of the Victorian Era

July 16th Basket Wrap Workshop–Gems Members only

A Basket Wrap Workshop will be held at First Federated Church , Main Church in the Commons, on Monday, July 16 from 2:00-6pm. Enter the Main Church at the North Door where there is a green awning.  Use the “button” at the door, identify yourself as Gems” and you will be buzzed in. Everyone is welcome to help out!  Call Lori Levar, Tina Cowan, Martha Dakin or Kelly Harvey for more information.

July 17-21 HOI Fair at Expo Gardens, Peoria

The 69th annual HOI Fair is July 17-21 at Expo Gardens in Peoria. The GEMS make a donation to the quilting categories each year. A local quilt shop also donates gift cards for 1st place, Grand Champion, and Viewer’s Choice winners.    Many GEMS members have received ribbons and cash prizes at the fair over the years. You could be one of them this year!!   The categories for the 2018 TEXTILES, as well as many other creative departments, are on the HOI Fair website NOW, www.hoifair.com
