In this process-oriented workshop, you’ll create a stitch vocabulary sampler that includes all the basic free-motion embroidery techniques that you’ll then bind into a cool booklet for reference. Some of the skill sets you’ll learn are: working with thick and thin thread, free motion Applique’, bobbin work, cut-away appliqué’, machine beading, couching and stippling. For a small fee (yet to be determined, but estimated at $18-22), Ellen will provide all the supplies needed for the class; all you need to do is bring your machine. As soon as all the details are ironed out, you’ll be able to sign up for the class via the website or by mailing a check to one of the chairs of the committee.
