Auction
June 7 @ 6:30 pm – 9:30 pm
Got stuff? Too much stuff? Seems like we all do, so let’s do something about it before our kids make decisions for us. Modeled after our friends in Champaign who’ve been doing this for many years at their guild, we’re going to have an auction, with the funds that we raise going to Gems to finance programs and other fun stuff. Bring us that fabric you no longer love, that project you’re not going to complete, that project you completed but hate, duplicate rulers, that weird notion you bought on impulse that you have no idea how to use…you get the idea. We’re looking for good stuff and reserve the right to reject the moth-eaten wool from Aunt Gerdie’s attic and anything else that doesn’t play well with the other stuff we’ve collected. Fabric should be no less than a quarter-yard cut or fat quarter, unless you have a hefty bag of awesome scraps. We’re new at this, so some things will be made up as we go. Stick with us though, we promise it will be fun, and hopefully an annual event. Oh yeah, tell your friends. Everyone is invited.
